This story of finding a rootkit on your computer, and then realizing that it came from a Sony CD, is the sort of thing that makes people really mad at music companies.

Stuff like this really makes me worry. As a programmer, I see it as a death sentence. As a business owner, I see it as a strange (and in my opinion, unjustified) attempt to “pierce the corporate veil.”
