Schneier on Security: Billions Wasted on Anti-Terrorism Security
Read that again, folks: Billions. Makes you feel all warm & fuzzy inside, doesn’t it?
No?
Me either. In fact, it makes me stay up at night, worrying about the future. My co-worker Jeff says that these sorts of things are just a “swing” to one side of the spectrum, and that eventually there’ll be an outcry against it, and we’ll swing the other way.
Bad metaphors aside, I certainly hope he’s right – and I hope that outcry happens soon.
