No More Late Breakfasts

I’m very mad at dad and mum today. They were SO late with breakfast. I got fed up waiting for them and (with Betsy’s help) tossed our bunny forts all around our area, and chewed up a cardboard box in dad’s office, leaving bits of cardboard scattered all over the place.

There is no excuse for not feeding me (I mean, us) on time!

Our humans can be like that, too. When they are late, we throw our plastic houses around. Some of the other bunnies drag their litter pans around their cage or start biting their cages. We also rattle our water bottles around. When they do finally show up, we are all on our hind legs giving the sad look too them to make them feel guilty.

It was better when dad was working nights because he would feed us when he got home around 6 am. Unfortunately, now he’s back to working evenings. Mom’s been trying to be consistent on our feeding times. She works weekends now, so she does not sleep in much.

Gus … I am feeling so guilty. I had no idea that an hour or so late with breakfast meant so much to rabbits. I mean ……. However, NOW I understand the sad faces poked through the gaps in the pen wires and the torn up living areas, and the endless clatter of moving dishes and litter boxes and water crocks. I will never slack again!

Food is too important to be ignored. You had a right to be upset!
