Another Award!

We got another award!

Thanks to Erin @ Life at the Zoo for giving us this very special award! Thank you so much!

Honestly, I don’t know how dad can justify grounding us for a whole day when we are clearly such talented bunnies with a huge number of fans.

We’re supposed to pick some other blogs to pass this award on to… but it’s so hard! And, we’re biased towards anything with bunnies in it.

Well, we’ll try:

Whew! So, if you are reading this and you’re one of the people we’ve named… we think you deserve this award, too!!

Fridge Meme

We got tagged for a fridge meme. So here goes:

The outside of our fridge

That’s Captain Rupert’s carrot cake recipe in the lower left corner – I insist that dad keep it handy. Actually, come to think of it, he needs to make it again. Get hopping, dad!

There’s 2 round magnets with a rabbit on them that we got from donating to rabbit rescues (can you find them both?) Dad really likes to drink coffee, hence the coffee magnet – I guess that’s some sort of joke. There’s a menu under that coffee magnet as well, with a picture of a rabbit on the front! Dad thinks he’s some sort of great chef – well I guess his salads are pretty good.

Supposedly that’s a shopping list on the whiteboard, but I can’t read mummy’s handwriting either.

There’s a postcard from someplace called Nevada, dad’s old business card as a magnet, and some other magnets that dad and mum picked up from various places.

You can click on the pictures to see a larger picture with more detail… it’s not very exciting if you ask me. I’d much rather get inside, where dad keeps my dinner!!

Tagged, Yet Again

Dad says we have to play another game. Apparently we must link to Tara and then answer these questions, even though they seem to be cat questions, not bunny questions:

  1. The name that the family uses daily (such as Peter, Agustus, Alonzo, or James)
  2. The name that is particular, a name that’s peculiar, and more dignified (such as Munkustrap, Quaxo, or Coricopat)
  3. What you are doing when you are thinking of the name that only you know, and will never confess (when engaged in rapt contemplation), that deep and inscrutable singular name. Then tag three cats (and let them know they are tagged) to give us their names.

  1. Gus
  2. Gussy-Boy
  3. Laying in a sunbeam!

Hrm… I don’t know if I’m doing it right, but at least I tried!

Book Meme

Dad says we have to do another meme that Lola tagged us with – something to do with “books.”

Dad said, “this is going to be tricky.” I asked him why, and he just pointed to his bookshelf, which I had never really looked closely at.

programming books

cookbooks and other reference books

Yeah, now I see what you mean, dad.

I asked him if it could be the closest book to “us,” which would make it the phone book Betsy was chewing on this morning. He said that probably wasn’t in the spirit of the meme. I suppose he was right.

He said, “technically, the closest book to me is this concept car book – but it’s all pictures!” (Dad likes cars.) “And no one would want me to quote 3 sentences out of IBM PC Assembly Language, COBOL – A Structured Approach, or Programming Microsoft Visual C++ (Fifth Edition). All these cookbooks are no good. And the next nearest book to you two… doesn’t have 123 pages in it!”

So I pointed to a book that had a picture of a rabbit on the front (I figure, why not?). After looking at it for a moment, dad nodded and said “I think that might just work, Gus.”

So here’s my 3 sentences from the 123 page (5th sentence in) of Rabbits for Dummies:

Rabbits can be spayed or neutered as soon as they reach reproductive maturity: about 4 months of age or later. Females should be spayed before two years of age to lessen the chance of developing uterine cancer. (See Chapter 13 for more on that topic.)

Errr… not very interesting, is it? Maybe we should have gone with one of dad’s books, instead. Oh dad, you and your crazy reading habits!
