• Cat and Bunny

Dad found these amusing flash videos of a bunny who loves a cat, all set to music. The group is called SamBakZa, and I think dad said they are Korean.

Still, a bunny is a bunny!

  • Banned

Uh oh… it seems like we got a little too enthusiastic about being under the new bed. I guess we chewed on some things that dad didn’t want us chewing on… and we’ve been banned from under the bed. There’s a weird make-shift gate-thing going all the way around the bed now, and we can’t get in.

Oh well, it was nice while it lasted.

  • A Bed, Just for Us!

This afternoon some strangers came into the house for a little bit, and when they were gone, Gus said he saw something new in the spare room – I came out to look with him, and wouldn’t you know it – there was a new bed there! Just like the one we used to hide under back in our old house!

Needless to say both Gus and I explored the underside of the new bed quite thoroughly. I couldn’t believe that mom and dad would buy a bed just so we could go under it, but Gus said that it looked like that’s what they did. There were no sheets on it or anything – just a mattress and a box spring.

When mom got home, she thought I was so cute she came and took some photos of me. I guess she was just happy that we like our new bed. I certainly do!

That’s me, under the new bed. I love it!

    Hey, wait a minute!

    Betsy approaches

    Mom, what are you doing?

I thought only dad took photos?

I’ll let it slide this time, but no more photos of my behind!

  • Breakfast with Betsy

Gus and I are both of course big fans of anything starring bunnies. Which means we are really big fans of the show Rabbit Bites and Coffee with Chou. Especially since Chou-Chou looks like a black & white version of me!

Still, I think I could have my own hit Internet show. I’d call it Breakfast with Besty and Gus could be my sidekick!

I asked dad if he could help me make the show, but he said he doesn’t have a “Mac” so he can’t do fancy video stuff very well. I don’t know why he doesn’t have a Mac. Who wouldn’t want a computer named after a delicious fruit? Mmmm… yum!

  • In the Bedroom… Closet

It’s no secret that Betsy and I love getting into the bedroom. But lately we’ve found an even better place – the bedroom closet.

Mom keeps something she calls a “shoe tree” or “shoe forest” in there – I don’t know why, it’s not real trees or anything – but it is dark and there are narrow passages and it’s the perfect place to hide!

The first day we got in there, mom and dad couldn’t find us! We heard them searching all around the house for us, looking and looking, until finally mom spotted us.

The last time we got in, dad took these photos:

    heading in

I must admit that it was Betsy who first discovered this great hiding place.

    double trouble

    I followed her in quickly.

    busted

    Aw drat, I’ve been spotted!

Dad says I’m actually very hard to see when I’m in there.

So now whenever we get into the bedroom (which is rare) I always go and check to see if the closet door is open. Unfortunately the last few times we’ve been able to sneak in, it’s been closed. Oh well – our time will come!

  • It’s Okay, Dad

Dad and mum were very sad that I was so angry at them – they apologized to me many times. Although they DID vacuum today (which I never like), they left us alone all the rest of the day. Then when they got home, dad took me outside to the porch and gave me a good brush-down, which I will admit, felt good because I have been shedding a lot lately.

So I came up to him afterwards and gave him a little nose-nudge to let him know that it’s OK and not to be so sad. He then gave me a papaya tablet and that’s how I know everything is OK again.

  • No More Late Breakfasts

I’m very mad at dad and mum today. They were SO late with breakfast. I got fed up waiting for them and (with Betsy’s help) tossed our bunny forts all around our area, and chewed up a cardboard box in dad’s office, leaving bits of cardboard scattered all over the place.

There is no excuse for not feeding me (I mean, us) on time!

  • My Agenda

My dad often writes down a list of things he wants to get done in the day. He suggested to me that I try it, too. So here goes:

    • Harass mom for papaya treats
    • Eat breakfast
    • Poop
    • Run into dad’s office
    • Climb onto chair
    • Shed fur
    • Sleep
    • Sleep
    • Sleep
    • Go back into the living room
    • Poop
    • Sleep
    • Sleep
    • Eat
    • Poop
    • Do super-secret, night-time rabbit stuff with Betsy

I think that pretty much covers my day.

  • Shredding Fun

Dad left a bunch of brown paper on the floor yesterday. I think it came from some box that the mail man brought him. I dunno. But it was SO MUCH FUN to shred that paper. It was just so much fun to grab it and rip big pieces right off – such a satisfying riiiiiiiiiiiiiip sound!

    Thanks, dad!
