Ha ha, just kidding, I wasn’t really locked up. I was just up to no good behind this little railing thing with Gus.
More than that I’m not saying, on the advice of my lawyer.

I would think that a lawyer would tell the court that the concept of “good” was open to interpretation. Also, if you did feel that you were unjustly trapped behind bars and had no other recourse, you would be perfectly justified in trying to free yourself by chewing through said bars. Gus is just an innocent bystander who should not be guilty by association.
Oh don’t worry. Gus *is* my lawyer, and he is *very* good… I mean, look at him! With cuteness like that, you could convince anyone of anything.
How else do you think we manage to get up to such mischief all the time and still have free run of the house?
