My new computer arrived and in less than 3 hours I&#8217;ve got all my files transferred over and all my programs installed. Not bad for an afternoon&#8217;s work!<\/p>\n<p>All in all I&#8217;m very impressed with this new PC. It&#8217;s fast &#8211; though you would expect that &#8211; and very responsive. It&#8217;s also nice to have the added features of Windows XP Media Center, though I&#8217;ll better appreciate those features once I&#8217;ve got a 19&#8243; flat-screen display (which is in the works).<\/p>\n<p>For now, I&#8217;ve got some work to do &#8211; although all my data &#038; whatnot transferred over, all my programs are disorganized and scattered across a huge start menu &#8211; and that simply <em>will not do<\/em>. Time to be anal retentive and organize it all!<\/p>\n<p>Ciao for now!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Edit:<\/strong> I should probably mention that it turns out that I did in fact get a Pentium 4 (with Hyper-threading) as opposed to the cooler and more technically advanced Pentium D for which I had been hoping. Ah well, it still runs Quake III at 90 FPS at 1280&#215;1024. Whee!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Well, it is done.
