We had our first real solid frost last night – when I woke up it was 28\u00b0F (-2\u00b0C) out – and so of course I had to try and get some photos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, I had just cleared all the leaves off the lawn this past weekend, and there are basically no more to fall at this point, so the lawn was a little bare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, that’s not to say there weren’t some leaves around – and the lawn itself was still pretty as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I also decided to switch to a different lens for these photos – I normally have my Panasonic Lumix 12-35mm f\/2.8 lens on most of the time, as it is a great all-around lens. However, this time I went back to my other favorite lens – my Lumix 20mm f\/1.7 pancake prime lens. This lens is a bit slow to focus, but that’s not a problem for shots like these – and it produces beautiful (IMHO) shots with its shallow depth of field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mostly I’m just glad to be taking photos again – I feel like it’s been too long since I really used my camera – so much so that I hardly even minded the freezing cold temperature (I forgot to put on a jacket).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That’s all I have for now, but I’ll be keeping my eye out for when Mother Nature does her thing throughout the winter.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
