Enjoy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Games for the Computer Children<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>First find an ignorant user.<br \/>\nCrash. Stop working for a month.<br \/>\nThen come suddenly back to life.<br \/>\nLearn how computer myths are spread.<\/li>\n<li>Watch a user install anti-virus software.<br \/>\nLet them feel safe all winter.<br \/>\nThen erase all of their files.<br \/>\nLearn how software companies survive.<\/li>\n<li>Learn the Internet dance. Follow the<br \/>\nHyperlinks. Glut your eye on garish<br \/>\nPages. Follow the links back home.<br \/>\nArt is sweeter than honey.<\/li>\n<li>Take a virus. Let it into your system.<br \/>\nWhatever program tries to run,<br \/>\nCrash it. You are learning what<br \/>\nViruses are for.<\/li>\n<li>Cut off the network: ISP strike.<br \/>\nTry 250 free hours: junior finds daddy\u2019s<br \/>\nCredit card. Max it out.<br \/>\nThe \u201cfree hours\u201d were only bait.<\/li>\n<li>Plug your mouse into the box.<br \/>\nSet a password on the screen.<br \/>\nWhen a stranger tries to log in,<br \/>\nTeach him the computer always wins.<\/li>\n<li>When you are big, hack the mainframe.<br \/>\nWin, and you feast on information.<br \/>\nLoose, and you sleep in a prison<br \/>\nAll winter long, next to \u201cBubba.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>When you have learned all the games<br \/>\nLay your fingers on the keys.<br \/>\nKnowledge, quoth the computer, is power.<br \/>\n&#8220;Press any key to continue\u2026&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Games for the Computer Children: a poem by Keith M.
