{"id":1019,"date":"2008-01-08T08:53:47","date_gmt":"2008-01-08T13:53:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.starkeith.net\/coredump\/2008\/01\/08\/usb-madness\/"},"modified":"2008-01-08T08:53:47","modified_gmt":"2008-01-08T13:53:47","slug":"usb-madness","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.starkeith.net\/coredump\/2008\/01\/08\/usb-madness\/","title":{"rendered":"USB Madness"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It occurred to me last night, as I hooked up some new gadgets to my computer, that I have&#8230; an obnoxious amount of USB peripherals.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Keyboard<\/li>\n<li>Regular mouse<\/li>\n<li>Trackball mouse<\/li>\n<li>Printer<\/li>\n<li>iPod<\/li>\n<li>Memory Card reader<\/li>\n<li>IR receiver for the Windows Media Center remote control<\/li>\n<li>External hard drive<\/li>\n<li>Bluetooth adapter<\/li>\n<li>USB headphone\/headset<\/li>\n<li>Gamepad<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This was brought to mind when I had to hook up a powered USB hub last night, because I ran out of USB ports on my computer (and my computer has 8 USB ports of its own!).<\/p>\n<p>Is it&#8230; <em>bad<\/em> that I have so much crap attached to my computer?
