The Blogosphere

Blogs: Media Watchdogs or Pundits In Pajamas?

This article hits it right on. Your blog may not be very popular, but the collective power of everyone’s blogs brings us closer to democracy – true democracy, mind you. Your voice can be heard, and no one can silence you. Individuals can now challenge the formerly unassailable mainstream media – and win, as the Dan Rathers story proves.

I think about this, and I read this article, and I can’t help but feel that this is a really good thing.

Power to the people, man.

Korea Cloud Not From Nuclear Blast

Yahoo! News – U.S.: Korea Cloud Not From Nuclear Blast

Scary stuff.

I think we sometimes forget that there are other troubles in the world other than Iraq and our Presidential Election. The thought of nuclear weapons in North Korea is quite scary to me.

Interestingly, Amanda takes the opposite view. She says that it’s unfair of the US to act as “police,” stopping other countries from developing things like this (i.e. nuclear weapons). “Who made you the boss?” is her question.

And that’s a hard question to answer…

Power Line

Power Line

Doing a bit of research today, I’m finding that professional “blogs” are becoming quite common – and widly noticed in the traditional media. Read about the forged Bush military documents and many other things. The Blogosphere, as they call it, is coming of age, and it is apparently a VERY powerful force.

I’m glad to be a part of it – and if you’re reading this, you’re a part of it too!
