Same problem… I’ve been having Multimedia Audio Controller issues (my speaker icon on the task bar has an X next to it), and I’ve wondered if this could be a cause.

All of the Microsoft updates have been done on the Vista Business OS and for Microsoft Office 2003. All of the OS's in question are the 32-bit versions. All are legitimately aquired and activated (other than Windows 7 Ultimate that will not work). Any thoughts, ideas, suggestions would be greatly appreciated. My computer is older, but meets the requirements. AMD Athlon 64 3000+ 2.00 GHz, 1.75 GB RAM, 62.9 GB C: drive with 16.9 GB free, 48.8 GB D: drive with 19.0 GB free. All of these meet the requirements according to the upgrade advisor.

All of the Microsoft updates have been done on the Vista Business OS and for Microsoft Office 2003.

All of the OS’s in question are the 32-bit versions. All are legitimately aquired and activated (other than Windows 7 Ultimate that will not work).

Any thoughts, ideas, suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Searches with Google and on Microsoft’s support sites have been fruitless.
