It's hard, I know - we don't like to talk with people who disagree with us - but if you can just make one more person aware of these issues, even if they just keep them in the back of their mind the next time they vote - you'll have made a difference. If we *ALL* did this with just one other person, there'd be a big, big effect! You can write letters to your representatives - actual printed letters, not e-mail (has more impact that way). They may not reply, but there is a good chance they will listen - after all, you're their meal ticket! And of course... you could start a blog and write about these sorts of issues and try and increase awareness that way. ;-) Just talk to someone who doesn’t know this, or to someone who disagrees with you.
