The truck is in for repairs… again. Something to do with the fuel system, I imagine. Also, I imagine it’ll be EXPENSIVE to fix, whatever it is. I’m about ready to go postal now. The truck wouldn’t start for a while here, and only by some deity’s grace was it able to start at the last minute as I was getting ready to walk to Enterprise Rent-A-Car. Once the rental car was secured, with Amanda driving the truck, the bucking returned - so it was a quick swap of cars down the street (and out of the sight of Enterprise). Then - off to WINCHENDON!
The only Chevy dealership within 50 miles that I can trust of course has to be in the backwaters of Winchendon. Thankfully they are really nice there, and with luck I will know what is wrong by 9am tomorrow morning. Of course, I have to pay $65 for the privilege of finding out what exactly is wrong - but what the fuck, I’m already out some $100 on this problem… why not add to it? Here’s some possibilities, with their relative cost represented in the number of dollar signs:
Fuel Filter $$$$$$$$$$
Ignition Coil $$$$$$
EGR Valve $$
Loose wire $
So, while I’m out racing around the world trying to get all this sorted away, my in-box at home is filling with work - work that I have already too little time to deal with. Voice mails piling up, emails, documents, the works. Oh and if it’s not too much trouble could we have all that done by Friday? Nope, no stress here, none at all… *BANG!*
And yesterday I learned that my exhaust has holes in it and will need to be replaced very soon. Oh well I guess I always wanted that Flowmaster exhaust! (Yeah right.) And that grinding noise when I shift is nothing to worry about, right? With all this I hardly even notice that my passenger-side mirror is hanging on by a thin strip of plastic, or that my bumper is still bent in at a 45 degree angle. The list goes on… and on… and on…
Bye for now.
