Not About Us

Friday, November 7th, 2008

Our Internet-bunny-friend Orlando Bun has had some tummy trouble recently, but we hear he’s doing better now. This is very good! I know I hated it when my tummy was upset - and not just because I didn’t feel well, either. Mum and dad watch Gus and I like scary hawks when we eat to make sure we’re… well, eating. And when we don’t… out comes that nasty critical-care slop. Yuk! And who likes being held down and forced to eat, anyway? Not me!!

Anyway, since I know first hand what it’s like, I just wanted to send Orlando some nose-bumps, and to say I’m relieved to hear he’s doing better (Gus is relieved too).

I guess I could do like an educational commercial for rabbits:

12 servings of Timothy Hay per day are part of a healthy diet. Hay - it’s what’s for dinner!

Hmmm actually I wonder how many times per day I go eat out of the hay bowl… time to start counting!

Grounded, YET AGAIN

Wednesday, October 29th, 2008

Oops.

After breakfast this morning we… got on the couch again. But dad heard us “plop” on the cusions and came out - he was REALLY mad. He squirted us with water, clapped his hands, said “no!” and then locked us up in our area AGAIN.

He said this is a new record for us - just two hours after being let out, we’re in trouble again. He said “next time you’re both going to end up in the ‘bad bunny box’!”

He’s no fun.

Another Award!

Wednesday, October 29th, 2008

We got another award!

Thanks to Erin @ Life at the Zoo for giving us this very special award! Thank you so much!

Honestly, I don’t know how dad can justify grounding us for a whole day when we are clearly such talented bunnies with a huge number of fans.

We’re supposed to pick some other blogs to pass this award on to… but it’s so hard! And, we’re biased towards anything with bunnies in it.

Well, we’ll try:

Whew! So, if you are reading this and you’re one of the people we’ve named… we think you deserve this award, too!!

Grounded, Again

Tuesday, October 28th, 2008

Dad caught us both on the couch today. We’re not supposed to be up there. He squirted us with water and then we were grounded for the rest of the day.

grounded gus

I tried sulking, but dad didn’t react.

Maybe… I shouldn’t get on the couch? At least, not when dad’s around!

Uh, Oh - Christmas Cards

Tuesday, October 28th, 2008

I overheard mom talking about “Christmas cards” the other night… something about “dressing us up.”

I do not approve of this idea!

On The Couch

Thursday, October 23rd, 2008

Dad caught me on the couch today, dragging my front paws on the cushions. He wasn’t happy.

He squirted me with water. I didn’t like that. He said if I am caught up there again that I’ll be put in the “bad bunny box.”

I wonder what he means by that?

Maybe I should re-think my recreational strategy.

Don’t Cook Vegetables

Wednesday, October 22nd, 2008

I like my veggies raw, thank you very much. This is what I’d do to anyone who suggested cooking my precious carrots:

Yeah, that’s right. Don’t mess with my carrots!!

Treats

Monday, October 20th, 2008

Dad keeps the treats on the floor by the steps near our part of the living room. They are in sealed containers which are too much work to chew through. Lately, however, there’s even been a box of crackers there… with an open box top. I can smell the crackers. (Are you trying to taunt me, dad?)

Actually, as it turns out, I can tip this box over and if I sqeeze my head in there really hard, I might get a piece of cracker!!

Dad’s been in the room when I did this, and I haven’t gotten squirted with water yet, so it must be OK!

Now I just have to keep this discovery a secret from Betsy…
