An Escape Gone Wrong

When mummy gets sad, she sometimes says “I want a bunny,” after which dad heaves a big sigh and then chases us around the house until he catches us, picks us up (!!!) and puts us in mummy’s lap, where she pets us for a while.

Last night, this happened again. Gus was the first to be grabbed, and then it was my turn. After a while, I just didn’t want to be held anymore, so I tried to climb away from mummy.

My escape plan didn’t go well.

Ummm… how do I get down from here?

This is not good.

I guess it’s an improvement - I’m not being held. But it’s tough to get your footing up there!

Eventually I did get down.

Note to self: climbing up on mummy doesn’t work well.

Though it was fun to be on the couch!

Oh, Betsy. I know it’s tough, but cheering up is your JOB! You should be patient with the humans and their snuggling ways. But I bet your escape attempt brought some smiles. You planned it that way, right?

They picked you up??? I’d have thump DKM if she did that to me. I HATE being picked up. Tho, I do love to climb all over the daybed. We hop up there because it’s the magical daybed where we find currents and raisins.

Each adventure is a learning experience — remember, escape DOWN!

You look good up there, Betsy, an auxillary sofa head rest sort of thing. Unfortunately it is in a rabbit’s job description that they must cheer up the humans when necessary…….hope you cheered up your mom.

Around this nut-house it takes a LOT of cheering up ….

Some of us are better at it than others.

    We disapprove of sad …………..

A little more practice and you’ll be an expert Betsy!
